I started Hawk Transport & Courier Service LLC. in 1998 because of the need that I saw for customer service. I was working for another courier service as a driver and saw first hand the lack of customer service that was being given. As an employee my thoughts and observations as to improving the daily workings of the company in which I was involved were "wrong" "none of my business" "do what you are told" and "this is the way it's always been" were not the answers I was looking for.

I started with a few dollars in my checking account and went out to buy my first van, a Ford E-150. After knocking on countless doors and making numerous phone calls I finally found someone to listen to what I had to offer, they did like what they herd and decided to give me a try.

I have always been a firm believer that "word of mouth" advertising is the best way to grow a business. The old saying of "do something right" and a few people will know, "do something wrong" and everyone will know has been the way this company has advertised. It is a slow process but when the phone rings and the new customer says that he was referred by or they were told of the great job you did gives you a feeling like no newspaper or billboard can do.
